April's monthly Home Smart & Property Management newsletters are out now

In the property management space the government is considering new licensing requirements for property managers. Consultation will run until April 19, but a draft Bill is not expected in Parliament until 2023. Rents are still trending upward over the last few months. Renovated & well presented properties continue to receive good amounts of interest, with rents increasing good tenants are expecting quality properties.

"As we reach the peak (hopefully) of the Omicron outbreak we have been noticing less people coming to open homes, and enquiring on property. In saying that though, this week, we have been in a “multi offer back up” where the results have been very pleasing for our vendor. He was clever enough to list his property at a realistic price after taking advice from his agent, and as a consequence he has achieved a premium price for his property".
